ABOUT

I earned my master degree in Marriage and Family therapy from Chapman university in Southern California and my Bachelor in Psychology from B.I.H.E, Baha’i University of Higher Education, in Iran.

As a trainee and volunteer, I received in depth training in the Southern California Counseling Centre, and helped diverse groups of clients from different backgrounds. I finished my EMDR training under the training of Kim Kookson, PsyD and facilitated a Community Counseling Course under the support and guidance of Marianne Diaz

In addition to that, I have worked at The Bella Vita residential program helping and supporting clients primarily struggling with eating disorders, and co-existing challenges like OCD, depression, and anxiety.

Prior to pursuing a career in mental health, I worked with refugees from Iraq, Afghanistan,Iran, Somalia, and Haiti as a case manager, helping them to connect with resources, and establishing a life in their host country.

I am Fluent in Farsi (Persian), and conversational Turkish.

I enjoy dancing, gardening, coloring and spending time with animals. I am grateful for my community in LA and a strong believer that healing happens within the community.
